An attractive and user-focused website to promote the Hiraethog area in North Wales.

Background
The Hiraethog region is a stunning and unspoilt landscape of rolling heather moor, deep forest and quiet lakes in the heart of North Wales. Conwy County Council required a new website that would promote the area, it's attractions, places to stay and events to visitors.
Solution
Imaginet focused heavily on the site architecture for the Hiraethog project, inviting users to navigate the site according to their needs such as travelling with their family or as a couple, so that content is always relevant. Other key features included:
- A new logo and branding was created by Imaginet for the website, which is fresh, clean and welcoming and mirrors the landscape of the area perfectly
- Users can toggle between Welsh and English from any page of the site
- A full content management system is used across the site integrated with databases such as Accommodation and Events
- An interactive map of the area allows people to easily see where attractions and places to stay are located and the detail page for each place shows a Google map that can be zoomed in and out of as normal
- A Wildlife Spotters Guide invites visitors to find out more about the wildlife in the area and download a checklist for them to use whilst visiting, encouraging more interaction with the area as a whole
Results
The website has received terrific feedback from visitors and continues to attract tourism in the area.
"I found the Hiraethog web site very useful, both in terms of a clean, simple layout and a vast amount of useful information about the area. Such a refreshing change from some of the bloated 'tourist' web sites
around!"
Phil, Hiraethog Visitor
